I haven't been able to get a few of those characters off of my mind. Let's welcome the weekend in with some Friday Fun and take a stroll through a few things that have been created with a couple of these characters in mind.
Tweety Bird
~ one of my nicknames as a kidlet ~
That cake ROCKS!!!
How cute would these be at a party!
Wonder Woman
Okay, I realize now, I wasn't thinking of Wonder Woman from the comic or a cartoon, but rather Lynda Carter kicking some butt!
I want one!
This gives me so many ideas for kidlet wallets, party favors, a way to include more pics, journaling, or memorabilia on a scrapbook page!
So sweet. Outwear that reminds me of Underoos. I can't remember if I had Wonder Woman, but I know I had SuperGirl!
And since I'm still singing La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, laaaa...and I do adore Neil Patrick Harris and Project Runway with the fabulous Tim Gunn started last night and Jayma Mays is cute as a button...
...did you sing along? You did, didn't you. It's okay, you can admit it. Wouldn't want you to get blue or anything over it. ;> Will you be getting Smurf'd and seeing this 'reimagining'? I promised the kidlets one more trip to the movies this summer, so it's this or Winnie the Pooh.
Happy Friday! Hope you're on your way to wickedly fun & wildly wonderful weekend!
I never loved Tweety too much, but my just-younger sister and I always shared a Wonder Woman dress-up set. Every time I see Wonder Woman stuff now, I think of the magic of really believing I could jump ALL the way from the top of that tree and not get hurt. It worked, too, up until that last time I got my arm put in a sling . . . ! *cough*
ReplyDeleteI still buy my sister whatever Wonder Woman miscellany I can find. :)
This cake is so super cool. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWith my little tot I'm back watching all these cartoon characters. Every day we have one hour cartoon-time on TV and I can't help but joining my boy.
That cake DOES rock, and I love the Wonder Woman stuff!
ReplyDeleteUm, I dreamed about being Wonder Woman and snagging people with her lasso of truth!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I feel about the Smurfs movie. I'm torn. Is live action going to ruin it? I just don't know.
That cake is awesome! I love those crayon rollups, I just imagine all of the meltdowns I could avoid having those in my purse!
ReplyDeletewhat a great feature that was on lets BEE friends.. i was a huge smurf fan back in the day.
ReplyDeleteoh and strawberry shortcake i could smell her for hours.. maybe that is when i developed a little quirk for certain smells.. hummmmmm
That cake is fantastic! My mom loved Tweetie Bird when I was growing up. I wonder if she still does...
ReplyDeleteLove these fun reminders of childhood cartoons! We always loved Looney Tunes, and Smurfs. We also loved Animaniacs! :)
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that is SO NOT STOKED that the Smurfs are back?
